Rate My Form uses your camera to show a live preview with a stick-figure overlay, give real-time feedback on whether an exercise looks correct, and present deeper analysis stats on your screen. Pose detection runs on your device. An account is optional for basic form checks, but required for challenges and some cloud features. Pro Analyzer subscriptions unlock deeper analysis and history.

Why does Rate My Form need the camera?
The camera powers the live preview, stick-figure overlay, and form analysis. Without camera access, those features cannot run. You can change permission anytime in iOS Settings → Rate My Form → Camera.
Is my workout data sent to a server?
Live camera footage and pose analysis run on your device and are not uploaded to Ludwig Fernandes’ servers. If you create an account, join challenges, or sync a session to a challenge, account and challenge-related data may be stored with our service providers. Limited device and app-event data may also be shared with Meta for ad measurement, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Do I need an account?
Not for basic on-device form checks. An account is required for challenges and related cloud features. Rate My Form does not use HealthKit, and we do not ask for body metrics like age, height, or weight.
The camera preview is blank or permission was denied
Open Settings → Rate My Form → Camera and turn access on. Then reopen the app. If the issue continues, restart your iPhone and try again, or email us with your device model and iOS version.
Why does the app ask to track my activity?
iOS may show an App Tracking Transparency prompt so we can measure which ads help people discover Rate My Form (for example on Instagram or Facebook) and reach more of the calisthenics community. Your workout videos stay on your device and are not used for tracking. You can allow or deny this; denying does not block form analysis. Change it anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Rate My Form. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
The stick figure isn’t detecting my pose well
Try these tips for a clearer pose:
- Stand where your full body is visible in the frame
- Use even lighting; avoid strong backlight
- Keep the phone stable, ideally propped up
- Wear clothing that contrasts with your background
What do the analysis stats mean?
After or during a session, the app can show deeper on-screen feedback about your form. Live analysis is generated on your device. Locally saved history stays on your device unless you sync a session to a challenge or use cloud features that store challenge-related data with our providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Why does the App Store mention Location if you don’t ask for my location?
Rate My Form does not use GPS or ask for Location Services. Approximate (“coarse”) location can be inferred from network information such as IP address when Meta measures ads. That is separate from the Camera permission. See our Privacy Policy.
How do I manage or cancel Pro Analyzer?
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or Apple ID → Subscriptions) to manage or cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. See our Terms of Use for full subscription details.
